Bragging rights are on the line – pick up the sticks and compete against Volo players from across the country in Madden NFL tournaments and leagues! For Xbox One and PS4 players.

• Registration closes two hours before the start of a tournament. You must register as an individual. For late registration please contact  virtual@volosports.com. 

• Madden tournaments are single day tournament-style events, spanning for 3 hours. Various prizes will be awarded to the champion.

• At least 30 minutes before game time, players will receive a Welcome Email with how to send game invites, submit scores, and view their bracket via their account with Volo Sports.

• Players must register their team name as their Gamer Tag or PSN Live, so they are searchable. Game invites are sent by the home team in the schedule (the higher seed). To send a game invite, you must be friends on Xbox Live or PSN.

• All game scores are submitted by players via Discord to the Volo Host. For tournaments, once scores are submitted and accepted the tournament bracket will be updated to reflect the next round of games.

• For events that are eligible for prizes, the Volo Host will reach out directly to those who qualify upon completion of the event. Volo Credits will be applied directly to the player account. Cash prizes may be processed via Rivall, PayPal or Venmo. Prizes are not eligible for every game. 

• Headphones are optional during games for chat. Use the Discord chats and voice channels for in-tournament communication with your opponents and host.

* All rules and settings are selected based on the current EA Sports Madden NFL 22 Championship Series. The hosting team is responsible for ensuring the settings are correct. *

Opponent & Score Details
•   As mentioned above, if you are the home team, you are in charge of inviting your opponent to play. Once you’ve accessed Madden, from the Home screen go to “Exhibition ” > “Online Head to Head” > “ Play A Friend” > Select your opponent from your friends list and advance to “Invite”.

• At the conclusion of the game, submit your score via discord to your Volo Host. Once scores are accepted the next round will begin. You can view your opponent under your schedule or on the tournaments and leagues tab in discord.

Game Settings
*All settings are set to default unless told otherwise. Quarter length will be changed to 5 minutes during the game invite creation. *

• Play Clock: 40 seconds (default, cannot change)

• Skill Level: All-Madden

• Weather: Clear

• Injuries: 0 (0 is off; 100 is max)

• Fatigue: 50 (0 is off; 100 is max)

• Accelerated Clock: Off

• Game Speed: Normal

• Game Style: Competitive

• Event Type: Quick Presentation

Sportsmanship Rules 
• 24-point rule: If a team is up by 24 points or more in the 4th quarter the game is a mercy victory for the leading team.

• Onside kicks: Onside kicks are not allowed in the first half. A Competitor may attempt an onside kick at any time in the second half.

• No fake kicks or punts – rule violation is a forfeit.

• Excessive Offsides: Neither the offense or defense should purposefully go offsides with the intent of delaying the game nor exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct. Intent is at the sole discretion of the tournament administration.

• Improper Audibles: Competitors may not audible out of the QB Kneel, Wildcat, Field Goal, or Punt formations.

We strictly prohibit harassment of any kind.

Madden League Details
Madden Leagues will have a five-week season with one week of playoffs. Games will be played at the same time, on the same night weekly.
• Week 1 will consist of group play of 3 games to determine your skill level and place you in a bracket relative to your skill level.
• Weeks 2 – 5 will be seasonal games where you play 2 opponents weekly.
•  Week 6 is playoffs, where you will play all of your opponents in one night, and only one competitor will advance from each game (single elimination).
• You will play one Madden game against each opponent outlined and the score will be reported via Discord to determine your standings and advancement.

Madden Tournament Details
Madden tournaments will be conducted where all games will be played on the tournament date, and a winner will be crowned. Depending on tournament size, tournament duration can last up to 4 hours. 
• Division Play: The tournament will start with a round robin game play where groups will play each team in their group. They will only play one match per game during group play. 
• Single Competitor Elimination: If a player advances to the knockout rounds, they must continue to win to continue to play. 

There is a zero-tolerance policy for harassment on Volo Gaming. Offenders will be removed from all events and platforms. No refunds will be given.
